A not-for-profit institution, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital provides primary and acute medical care to more than 2,000 inpatients each year in its 61-bed facility. More than 2,500 surgical procedures are also performed annually at BMH, a large number of which are same-day surgery. In addition, the hospital provides many services for the benefit of area residents, including provision of close to $2.3 million in free and charitable care each year.
