BMH is a Tobacco-Free Campus
On the Great American Smoke-Out day, November 21, 2008, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital became a totally tobacco and smoke-free campus. This means smoking and tobacco products are no longer to be used anywhere on hospital property including the parking lot. Please help us make and keep BMH a healthy institution, which we also hope will help keep members of our community healthy also. Thank you for your cooperation.

Visiting Hours

BMH has recently established specific visiting hours in order to provide better patient care. The hospital has always endeavored to accommodate visitors during a time when a family member is experiencing acute illness, surgery, recovery or terminal illness. However, due to staff concerns, and for the safety and comfort of the patient, visiting hours at BMH are now somewhat more regulated.

Note: outpatients coming in for lengthy procedures or testing and have children accompanying them, must have another adult present to watch the children or be rescheduled.

Cell Phone Usage
Cell phones are now acceptable to use in public areas of the hospital including waiting rooms, the lobby and MapleView Café. Visitors are requested not to use them elsewhere in the hospital.

Parking
All parking at BMH is free. A map (click here) is provided to show where patients, their families, and visitors may park. Please note that there are handicap parking spaces provided in various areas on the hospital grounds for your convenience.
