Center for Wound Healing Open House
August 9, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
On Tuesday, August 9, 2016, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Center for Wound Healing will host a community open house from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
The open house will give attendees the opportunity to tour the Center and learn about some of its state-of-the-art equipment, such as the hyperbaric oxygen chambers, and specialized treatment capabilities.
“Chronic, non-healing wounds are a problem for 8 million Americans, many of whom are elderly and managing chronic health problems, including diabetes, venous disease and injuries from radiation therapy,” said Dr. Greg Gadowski, Center for Wound Healing Medical Director. Windham County is home to the highest concentration of citizens over the age of 65 in Vermont, a state that has the second oldest population in the nation. With those demographics in mind, Dr. Gadowski adds that “The BMH Center for Wound Healing fills the need for this vital medical service, not only for our local community, but also for the region.”
The public is invited to the open house which will feature food, giveaways and tours. Staff members and physicians will welcome guests and answer questions. The Center is located in the Main Hospital Building at 17 Belmont Ave, Brattleboro VT.
