SMOKING CESSATION CLASSES
Brattleboro Memorial Hospital offers these free Ready,
Set …STOP classes to help people stop smoking.
The classes run for six consecutive weeks and are sponsored
by Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and the Vermont Department
of Health. Smokers and other tobacco users meet weekly
with a trained facilitator and learn the dangers of
smoking, strategies to overcome cravings, and what to
expect on the quit date.
Smokers are sometimes more addicted to the habit and
process of smoking and the comfort provided than they
are to the nicotine.
The programs provide low-cost and often free nicotine
replacement products as the tools smokers need to help
kick the habit.
