Century Ride
Saturday August 25th, 2007
A great time was had by all at the Century Ride sponsored
by BMH and Meeting Waters YMCA! Approximately 130 people
showed up at BMH on Saturday, August 25th to ride one
of the three "historical" routes through Windham
County, 'exercising' their rights to exercise!
About $3,000 was raised through donations which will
be split between the two sponsors of the event: Meeting
Waters YMCA for their Activate Windham County public
health initiative. The regional Y¹s Activate Windham
County program aims to support ³health seekers²
in creating and sustaining a healthier lifestyle (for
info about this go to meetingwatersymca.org).
The other half of the proceeds will be used to provide
scholarships for theBMH Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab
Programs. These BMH programs offer a new lease on life
to participants who have had heart or lung problems.
