OFFERS FREE EVENING Ready, Set…STOP SMOKING CESSATION
CLASS
Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is offering another in
its series of smoking cessation programs. The next six-week
class, called Ready, Set…STOP, will begin on Tuesday
evening, July 1st, and will go through to August 5th.
It will be held in the Cafeteria Room B Conference Room
on the lower level at BMH. The time for the class is
from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m., and there is no charge.
The weekly program offers group support as well as
individualized strategies to help participants quit
smoking for good. The smoking cessation program provides
a logical progression to quit smoking, including awareness
of the smoking habit, addiction problems, and actual
behavior change. Participants will experience a step-by-step
process to quit smoking. Weight control, stress management,
and social interactions will be covered during the program.
Attendees will also receive free nicotine patches, gum,
and lozenges. Also now available are flavored gum and
lozenges (through a direct ship program available through
the class) including new gum flavors of fresh mint,
cinnamon surge, and fruit chill and a cherry flavor
lozenge.
Placing emphasis on long-term maintenance, this smoking
cessation class is designed to help individuals gain
control of their own life and to help them stay off
tobacco. For more information, or to register, call
