Brattleboro Memorial Hospital announced that Robert Feinberg, PA has joined Southern Vermont Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
Feinberg is a 2005 graduate of the University of Utah’s Physician Assistant Masters Program and his certification includes an orthopedic emphasis. His previous experience in orthopedic settings includes the Mansfield Orthopaedics in Morrisville, Vermont and the VA Medical Center and Urgent Care Clinic, both located in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has been a physician assistant in BMH’s emergency department since June of this year.
“Robert will work closely with each of the physicians to coordinate all care provided in the practice,” says Prudence MacKinney, BMH’s Vice President of Physician and Business Development, adding that the presence of a physician assistant will improve access and reduce wait times for patients in need of orthopedic care.
Located on the first floor of the Richards Building, Southern Vermont Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is the practice of Dr. Elizabeth McLarney, Dr. Jon Thatcher and Dr. William Vranos. This practice provides comprehensive orthopaedic services covering acute injuries and chronic conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, state-of-the art fracture care, arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder, and total joint replacements. Drs. McLarney, Thatcher, and Vranos collectively perform close to 140 total joint replacement surgeries, over 300 arthroscopic knee and shoulder procedures, and over 200 hand, wrist, and finger procedures annually. In addition to the three board certified orthopedic surgeons and the physician assistant on staff, the practice offers a certified athletics trainer. BMH also provides an extensive physical therapy and specialized hand therapy department to assist with care and recovery of orthopedic conditions.
