The Richards Group Helps BMH Open “The New Doorway to Exceptional Care”

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital officials announced today that The Richards Group had made a leadership pledge to “The Doorway to Exceptional Care” capital campaign.

The-Richards-Group“We at The Richards Group have long felt that BMH is a cornerstone of the town,” stated Mark Richards. “It is a key ingredient in the creation of a true community. Everyone will use this facility be they a patient, a visitor, a volunteer or a member of the hospital staff. For all these ‘right reasons’ BMH has always been and will always be a key beneficiary of our company”.

This past September, BMH set a public fundraising goal of $3.5 million for the renovation and expansion of its Emergency Department. More than $3.2 million has been contributed by businesses and individuals in the community thus far, including area physicians and hospital employees.

“The Richards Group has a long history of supporting their community hospital, and we are very appreciative of this generous gift,” says BMH President and CEO Steven R. Gordon. “While many are aware the Emergency Department sees more than double the amount of patients it was designed to serve, this project also enables us to improve access and provide increased privacy for patients and their families.”
