TOPS Weight Loss Program at BMH, May 1
The Nutrition Services Department at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital will begin offering the TOPS weight loss and wellness education program to the public starting Tuesday, May 1.
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is a nonprofit program that promotes a successful and affordable approach to weight management through a combination of healthy eating and regular physical activity.
The weekly meetings provide powerful support for weight loss and lifelong health, along with information on nutrition, fitness and motivation. Because the program will be led by BMH nutritionist and registered dietitian Peg Canal-Wittler and Diet Technician Thea Waite, the program can be tailored for those with diabetes and heart disease.
Meetings will take place every Tuesday at 5:30 PM in the Tyler Conference Room. The first visit to any meeting is free. More information can be found at www.tops.org or by contacting Peg Canal-Wittler at 802-257-8265.
