Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Volunteer Program

More than 200 adult and junior volunteers support programs and services through their work at BMH. Volunteers serve for many reasons and the reward is both to the hospital departments who value their participation and to the volunteer who is recognized as contributing to the hospital¹s mission of quality patient care. Volunteers serve in the transportation department, where they transport patients to and from various areas within the hospital, the Information Desk, the Coffee and Gift Shops, the Ambulatory Care Unit, Human Resources and more than 20 other departments.

Volunteers may be retired persons interested in working a few scheduled hours a week, mothers with extra hours to give while their children are at school or young adults interested in pursuing a career in health care. Anyone interested in helping us fulfill our patient- oriented mission is welcome to serve as a volunteer at BMH. Volunteers are matched to positions based on interest, schedule and ability.

For more information about becoming a valued volunteer at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital call Christin Fagan at (802) 257-8238.

The Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Auxiliary

Founded in 1923, the BMH Auxiliary has served patients for more than 75 years. From the Clambake/Auction and Valentine Lunch fundraisers to special projects that benefit individual patients and families, the Auxiliary is continually looking for ways to support quality patient care. The Auxiliary- managed Coffee and Gift Shops offer meals, snacks and gifts for families, visitors and patients. Membership in the Auxiliary is open to everyone and participation at any level is encouraged. For information on becoming a member of the Auxiliary and participating in our special events and projects contact Suzi Hamblin at (603) 336-5626.
