More than 200 adult and junior volunteers support programs
and services through their work at BMH. Volunteers serve
for many reasons and the reward is both to the hospital
departments who value their participation and to the
volunteer who is recognized as contributing to the hospital¹s
mission of quality patient care. Volunteers serve in
the transportation department, where they transport
patients to and from various areas within the hospital,
the Information Desk, the Coffee and Gift Shops, the
Ambulatory Care Unit, Human Resources and more than
20 other departments.
Volunteers may be retired persons interested in working
a few scheduled hours a week, mothers with extra hours
to give while their children are at school or young
adults interested in pursuing a career in health care.
Anyone interested in helping us fulfill our patient-
oriented mission is welcome to serve as a volunteer
at BMH. Volunteers are matched to positions based on
interest, schedule and ability.
