Diabetes Prevention Program Workshop
May 21 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until August 6, 2019
It is important to take steps to reduce your risk for developing type 2 diabetes and to avoid the serious health problems associated with this disease. People at risk for developing type 2 diabetes include those who are obese or overweight, have high blood pressure or cholesterol, do not exercise, or who have a close relative with the disease. This program offers the education and support to help you adopt healthier eating habits, better exercise routines, and other lifestyle choices that will improve your health outcomes.
Participants meet once a week for the first 16 weeks, and then every other week, and finally once each month for a total of 25 sessions over a year.
