Improved Search and Multimedia Features Highlight New Version of BMHVT.org

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital launched a new version of its website, bmhvt.org, which features easier functionality and new content for people in Windham County looking for health care and health-related information.

Designed by FirstTracks Marketing Group of Peterborough, New Hampshire, the new bmhvt.org uses drop-down menus for faster access. Users can go directly to the information they are looking for from the home page instead of clicking two or even three times on different menus to find the same information. In addition, the ability to search the site has been enhanced to return more relevant results based on keywords entered.

“Everything was designed so people coming to bmhvt.org can find what they’re looking for without sifting through information they don’t want,” say Nicole Zinn, Communications and Graphic Design Specialist at BMH.

One of the site’s most-used features, the Find-A-Doctor tab, now allows for searches by type of medical staff personnel (doctor, midwife, etc.) as well as specialties and patient age range, among other criteria. A check-box feature makes it easy to see which medical providers are currently accepting new patients. Each result offers full contact information as well as links to related practice members.

New features on the home page include five active content areas for routine updating with new video, patient testimonials and event information. The events calendar is also separated into five color-coded categories: Birthing Center, New Moms Network, Special Events, Support Groups and Wellness Calendar. A multimedia gallery archives videos and photography while a blog will provide timely information on what’s happening at the hospital. All of which can be shared through Facebook, Twitter and other social media.
