Nondiscrimination Notice

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital (BMH) believes that all individuals are entitled to an environment free of discrimination and harassment based on race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, age, disability, religion, national origin, ancestry, place of birth, military status, positive HIV-related blood test, or based on any other legally protected status.

BMH provides free aids and services to people with disabilities so they can communicate effectively with us. These include:

  • Qualified sign language interpreters
  • Written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, other formats)

BMH provides free language services to people whose primary language is not English, such as:

  • Qualified interpreters
  • Information written in languages other than English

If you need these services, speak to your BMH caregiver.  If you believe that BMH has failed to provide these services or discriminated in another way on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex, you can file a grievance with:

You can file a grievance in person or by mail, fax or email.  If you need help filing a grievance, the BMH Compliance Officer is available to assist you.
