Speech Therapy

Our speech pathologists provide speech therapy to help people develop their communication abilities and to treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders (also called dysphagia) .

Who Can Benefit from Speech Therapy?

We work with patients who have experienced:

  • strokes
  • undetected hearing loss
  • head injuries
  • neurological disorders that affect speech, language, or swallowing (Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s, for example) .

What is BMH’s Approach?

Our skilled providers offer:

  • one-on-one intensive evaluation of communication and/or swallowing abilities
  • an integrated team approach with other healthcare providers to provide the best possible care
  • collaboration with families to help individuals maximize their abilities and minimize disabilities.
