Dr. Corina Tennant joined BMH in 2021 with more than 15 years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience. Before coming to Brattleboro, Dr. Tennant worked at several large academic hospitals and served as an assistant professor in the medical schools at the University of Pennsylvania and Mount Sinai. Her research and academic work focused on decreasing health disparities and improving perinatal outcomes. Dr. Tennant is a member of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists.
Clinical Interests & Expertise:
- Heavy or painful menses due to fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, etc.
- Vulvar conditions: lichen sclerosis, bartholin cysts, genitourinary symptoms of menopause
- Hormonal and non-hormonal treatment of menopause symptoms
- Prolapse and urinary incontinence treatment with pessaries and surgery
- Management of abnormal paps with colposcopy and LEEP
- Medical and surgical abortion and miscarriage management
- Complex IUD and Nexplanon removal and insertion
- Evaluation and treatment of chronic pelvic pain
- Management of PCOS and Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)
- Use of numbing techniques to minimize pain during office procedures
- Surgical offerings include minimally invasive hysterectomies, gender-affirming surgery, prolapse surgery, incontinence slings, tubal ligations, hysteroscopy, fibroid surgery, and laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis and ovarian cysts.
