If you’re thinking about a new career in the exciting field of healthcare, our Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program could be a great option. The program is a collaboration between Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and Community College of Vermont (CCV) that allows student to become medical assistants in just one semester!

As a medical assistant you’ll work with doctors and other healthcare professionals to provide quality care for patients. Job responsibilities include taking vital signs, drawing blood, and performing lab tests. You’ll also file patients’ medical records, fill out insurance forms, answer telephones, and schedule patient appointments.

Course work includes both classroom instruction and hands-on training at BMH. Once you have completed your on-the-job training, you will be eligible to take the CCMA certification exam. BMH is providing full scholarships for 4 successful applicants. Scholarship recipients will have their entire CCV tuition covered and will be hired as medical assistants at BMH upon successful completion of the academic program and certification exam.
