COVID Support

Seeking Your Support During COVID-19

Our Gratitude

We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from our community members. We continue to receive questions of how our neighbors can help. Please consider using your creative talents or providing funds to BMH:

Make:

Isolation Gowns

  • We are in urgent need for isolation gowns.
  • These may be made with fluid-resistant materials, such as shower curtains.

Masks

  • We are humbled by the generous donations of masks and are still accepting donations of homemade cloth masks as well as surgical and N-95 masks.

Ear Savers

  • Since our staff must wear masks at all times within the hospital, their ears are becoming sore from the friction of the elastic.  We are in need for “ear savers” to provide to all staff for everyday use.
  • These are easy to make with wide ribbon and two large buttons.

Buy:

Crayons & Activity Books

  • Due to our new visitor restrictions for the health and safety of our patients and employees, our patients spend long hours receiving care without personal support from family members and friends who usually accompany them.
  • We are asking for donations of crayons, colored pencils, coloring books, crosswords, Sudoku, activity books, etc. for adult patients to entertain themselves during their treatments.

Tablets

  • In order to conserve our personal protection equipment (“PPE”), we are utilizing tablets for patient communications.  Our clinicians are able to use video and chat features with our isolated patients to limit the visits into patient rooms.
  • We are asking for donations of tablets, such as Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy, etc.

Give:

Financial Donations

  • For those who would like to make their own meaningful contribution, please consider giving to our hospital’s Annual Fund.
  • This fund allows us to purchase necessary equipment and supplies, and gives us the ability to confront the challenge of this novel coronavirus with the resources we need to keep our community safe and healthy.
